Following the official launch at the United Nations on 27 September in New York, the PRI will convene a roundtable event on Thursday 3 October to present the final report of the Financial Sector Commission on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking – Unlocking Potential: A Blueprint for Mobilizing Finance Against Slavery and Trafficking.
This afternoon session will provide investors with insights into practical actions that the financial sector can take against slavery and trafficking, ranging from AML/CFT compliance to responsible lending an investment, from financial inclusion and financial technology to international cooperation. The event will discuss the framework and strategic goals presented in the report Unlocking Potential, and provide an opportunity for participants to exchange views with peers on the many challenges and opportunities to implement this.
