CSIS and FAST held a webinar to discuss how the financial sector can play a vital role in addressing human trafficking and modern slavery. In 2019, stemming from earlier work undertaken by the United Nations University and the government of Liechtenstein highlighting the need for the international financial sector to take action, a global Financial Sector Commission on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking released a Blueprint for Mobilizing Finance Against Slavery and Trafficking (the ‘FAST Blueprint’). This event discussed how the FAST Blueprint can support private sector and government efforts to address some of the most significant human rights violations of our time.
