By: Secretariat

Speakers: James Cockayne along with Barbara Bijelic, Legal Expert for Responsible Business Conduct at the OECD, and Peter van der Werf, Senior Engagement Specialist, Director of Team Lead Engagement at Robeco.

The COVID-19 crisis has given more visibility to already existing social issues and has brought to the forefront the importance for businesses to embed and respect human rights. During this webinar speakers covered some of the social risks that have been amplified during the crisis particularly when it comes to global supply chains, including modern slavery, health and safety and layoffs and lack of income protection for workers. Speakers also covered how investors are adapting their engagement practices and their expectations for companies now and during the recovery to better prepare and become more resilient to shocks in the future.
