Side Event to the High-level meeting of the General Assembly on the appraisal of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons

Public-private partnerships with the financial sector will be crucial in reducing modern slavery and human trafficking risks. This Side Event organized by the Permanent Mission of the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Finance Against Slavery and Trafficking (FAST) Initiative at United Nations University – Centre for Policy Research, will explore how financial inclusion initiatives can play a part in the prevention of human trafficking, especially drawing on experiences from a range of financial, governmental, and civil society actors in the Latin America and Caribbean Region.
